Sam has been carrying a torch for his crush for years, but when he finally gathers the courage to confess, his charismatic older brother Song swoops in and effortlessly steals the spotlight—and the person he loves. Devastated and seeking escape, Sam retreats to a secluded island resort run by his aunt. There, he expects peace and solitude. Instead, he meets Ton, a prickly, no-nonsense local who seems to take an instant dislike to him. Forced to work together on a beachside project, the two clash constantly, trading barbs and stubborn glares. But the island’s warm breezes and starry nights have a way of softening walls. As Sam begins to heal from his heartbreak, he discovers that the person who infuriates him the most might also be the one who understands him best. I am absolutely obsessed with Sam and Ton! Their banter had me laughing out loud, and the way they slowly let their guards down was pure perfection. The beach sunset scene in episode 8 made my heart flutter so much I rewatched it three times. This is exactly the kind of fluffy, slow-burn romance I live for.

The acting is charming and the setting is gorgeous, but the pacing drags in the middle episodes. Sam's initial love triangle resolved too quickly, and the conflict between the leads felt a bit manufactured at times. It's a cute watch, but don't expect deep storytelling. Still, I appreciate the fluff.

Every frame of this series belongs on a postcard. The golden hour lighting, the turquoise water, the way the camera lingers on the actors' expressions—it's visually intoxicating. The color grading shifts from cool blues in the beginning to warm oranges as the love grows. A feast for the eyes.

The score is lovely, especially the acoustic guitar theme that plays during the tender moments. The main OST is catchy but a bit overplayed. I wish they'd incorporated more local island music to enhance the setting. Still, the sound design is crisp and emotional.

I was pleasantly surprised by how the show handles Sam's healing process. He doesn't jump into a new relationship right away; he takes time to process his heartbreak. Ton's initial hostility is addressed and resolved with clear communication. The series promotes healthy emotional boundaries while still being a fluffy romance. Refreshing to see!
