In the cutthroat world of corporate Shenzhen, Li Can Yu is a cynical heir who has never had to work for anything in his life. When a misunderstanding forces him to move into a cramped apartment, he finds himself entangled with Min Tai Yu, a fiercely independent rising star employee who values his self-respect above all. What begins as a game of ‘teasing’—apartment-hunting pranks and sharp banter—soon deepens into something neither expected. As their worlds collide, Li Can Yu’s wealth and privilege clash with Min Tai Yu’s hard-won dignity, forcing both men to confront their own vulnerabilities. With just 12 episodes, this Chinese web series delivers a tight, emotionally charged slow-burn romance that explores class difference, found family, and the courage it takes to let someone see the real you. Perfect for fans of workplace enemies-to-lovers with a genuine, heartfelt core.

I am OBSESSED. Li Can Yu and Min Tai Yu have the kind of chemistry that makes your heart ache in the best way. The apartment-hunting scenes? The way he finally opens up? I rewatched episode 8 three times. This is exactly why I love BL. Pure, earned romance.

The leads have good rapport, but the pacing feels rushed. Min Tai Yu’s career conflict gets resolved way too neatly, and some of the side characters are cardboard cutouts. Still, for a 12-episode web series, it hits the emotional notes better than most. Solid but not groundbreaking.

Every frame of this series is a mood. The lighting in the cramped apartment scenes—warm and intimate versus the cold corporate boardrooms—tells the story as much as the dialogue. The color grading shifts subtly as their relationship deepens. A visual feast for eyes that appreciate detail.

I appreciate that the show doesn’t romanticize the wealth imbalance. Li Can Yu’s early ‘teasing’ walks a fine line, but the narrative holds him accountable and forces real growth. Min Tai Yu’s agency is preserved beautifully. A thoughtful portrayal of class and consent within a romance framework.

The OST is my new comfort playlist. The piano theme that plays during their rooftop confession gives me chills every single time. The song choices match the emotional beats perfectly—unexpectedly indie and raw. I’ve already added three tracks to my ‘soft BL hours’ rotation.
