In this tender Thai short film, college student Tone takes on a tutoring side gig to help high schooler Pun, who is struggling to pass his exams. What begins as a simple academic arrangement slowly blossoms into something deeper as the two boys bond over late-night study sessions and quiet moments of vulnerability. Tone, openly gay but grappling with subtle internalized shame, finds himself drawn to Pun’s earnest persistence, while Pun — shy yet determined — makes the first romantic move, surprising them both. Their fragile connection is tested when Pun’s protective older sister, Poon, discovers the truth and steps in to oppose the relationship, forcing Tone and Pun to confront family expectations, personal fears, and the very real stakes of a senior-junior romance. Filmed in soft, intimate style, this 25-minute film captures the sweetness and ache of first love, the courage it takes to be honest about who you are, and the quiet power of being seen — even when the world says you shouldn't be.

Short and sweet! I loved the montage showing them becoming friends before anything romantic happened. Tone's internalized homophobia broke my heart a bit, but Pun making the first move was so brave. The ending was perfect—Pun working hard to get into that college says everything without words. Only wish the sister hadn't lied to them both.

For a 25-minute short, it's decent, but the pacing feels rushed. The sister's lie is the weakest plot device—she just disappears after the confrontation. Also, the subtitles have gaps around minute 15 that forced me to use auto-translate. The core romance is sweet, but it needed another 10 minutes to breathe.

I appreciate that the age gap is only 2-3 years and that Pun initiates the kiss—that helps with the power dynamics. However, Tone's internalized homophobia is sadly realistic and left me uneasy. The sister's opposition could have been handled with more honesty. A decent short that raises some good conversation points about queer youth and family acceptance.

Visually, this short punches above its weight. The soft lighting in the tutoring scenes and the subtle color grading give it a dreamy, nostalgic feel. The montage sequence is well-edited and tells the passage of time elegantly. If only the framing during the final confrontation were tighter—it felt a bit chaotic. Still, a pleasing aesthetic package overall.
