A long-lost postcard shatters the fragile peace of three adult siblings, each carrying the unseen scars of a mother who abandoned them years ago. This poignant Korean film follows their reluctant but necessary road trip to confront the past and each other. As they journey through breathtaking landscapes, old wounds reopen and secrets surface—including one brother's struggle to come out as gay, another's battle with a neurological disorder, and a sister's life as a deaf individual navigating a hearing world. 'Family Affair' is a tender, slow-burning exploration of forgiveness, identity, and the bonds that survive even the deepest betrayals. With a cast that delivers raw, nuanced performances, this drama doesn't shy away from the messy, uncomfortable conversations that real families have. It's a heartfelt reminder that understanding often requires a long, winding journey—both physical and emotional.

I came for the gay romance but stayed for the beautiful, messy family dynamics. The brother's coming out scene felt so real and understated—it wasn't about drama, it was about love. The road trip shots are stunning, and the ending left me in tears. A hidden gem for anyone who loves emotional slow-burns.

The concept is promising, but the pacing drags in the middle, and some side characters feel more like plot devices than real people. The deaf sister's storyline deserved more screen time. That said, the lead performances are strong and the final act manages to tie things together emotionally. Worth a watch if you're patient.

Visually, this film is a quiet masterpiece. Every frame is carefully composed—the misty mountains, the cramped car interiors, the warm lighting in family kitchens. The director knows exactly when to let a silence speak. Not a perfect script, but the cinematography alone makes it worth your time.

I appreciate how the film handles the gay character's identity without making it the sole focus. His journey is about being seen by his family, not about a tragic coming-out. The representation is quiet but affirming. My only critique is that the neurological disorder subplot feels slightly underdeveloped. Still, a meaningful watch.

The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous—a mix of acoustic guitar and soft piano that perfectly mirrors the melancholic yet hopeful tone. One track in particular during the roadside confession scene gave me chills. Even if the story doesn't grab you, the music will linger in your heart. Underrated film.
