In this heartfelt Taiwanese film, Kim, a idealistic young lawyer, takes on what initially seems like an impossible case: helping a lesbian couple navigate the legal labyrinth to adopt a child. With no institutional support and facing societal prejudice, Kim's journey becomes deeply personal when he crosses paths with Allen, a warm-hearted man who shares his passion for justice. As they work together, their professional partnership blossoms into something tender and unexpected, while the lesbian couple's unwavering love and determination ground the story in emotional reality. 'Yes I Do' is a gentle yet powerful exploration of found family, the resilience of love against legal and social barriers, and the quiet courage of those who fight for the right to love openly. With its dual LGBTQ+ romances—a gay male lead romance and a lesbian relationship at its core—this film offers a rare, nuanced portrayal of diverse queer experiences in early 2010s Taiwan.

This film made me cry happy tears! The love story between Kim and Allen is so soft and natural, and the lesbian couple is just as precious. I loved how it showed that love is love, no matter the gender. A must-watch for anyone who believes in found family.

As an ally and someone who studies LGBTQ+ representation, I really appreciated how this film handled the legal and emotional hurdles of adoption without being preachy. The lawyer's journey from detached professional to invested friend felt genuine. A solid, respectful drama.

I wanted to love it more, but the pacing in the middle dragged. The legal scenes were interesting, but some of the romantic beats felt rushed, especially between Kim and Allen. Still, the lesbian couple's story was beautifully acted and gave the film its emotional core.

The cinematography is unassuming but effective—lots of warm lighting and intimate close-ups that make you feel like you're part of the family. It's not flashy, but it serves the story well. I just wish the soundtrack had more memorable moments.

Honestly, the lesbian couple stole the show for me! Their quiet strength and the way they supported each other through the adoption process was so moving. Kim and Allen were cute, but I was constantly waiting for more scenes with the moms. Still a very satisfying watch.
