In the biting cold of a Seoul winter, two strangers cross paths during a late-night convenience store run. Jaehyun (Seo Jeong Hyeon), a solitary architect nursing a broken heart, is drawn to the warmth in Minho's (Kwak Geon Hee) hesitant smile. What begins as a simple shared cup of coffee spirals into a tender, intimate connection that thaws the frost around their lives. But as winter deepens, buried secrets from Minho's past and Jaehyun's fear of vulnerability threaten to freeze their budding romance. A beautifully shot short film that captures the fleeting nature of love and the courage it takes to let someone in, Winter Fever (Director's Cut) offers a poignant, visually lush exploration of healing, hope, and the quiet moments that define us.

This film captured exactly what it feels like to fall for someone when you're hurting. The chemistry between Jaehyun and Minho is so natural—I held my breath during their first hand-hold. The winter visuals made my heart ache in the best way. A perfect slow-burn romance.

I appreciate the mood and the acting, but the story felt too thin for a film. The conflict is resolved too neatly, and Minho's backstory is only hinted at. It's pretty, but I wanted more substance. A decent watch if you're in the mood for atmosphere over plot.

The Director's Cut is a visual poem. The way they use reflections in icy windows and the contrast between the cold outside and the warmth inside is masterful. The color grading is gorgeous—every shot could be a painting. I replayed the snow-lit kissing scene four times.

The soundtrack is subtle but perfect. That piano piece that plays during their first quiet conversation? I've been humming it for days. The music never overshadows the emotions—it just lifts them. I wish the OST was longer.

I appreciate that the film treats consent with respect—there's no forced proximity or dubcon. The characters talk, hesitate, and check in with each other. It's refreshing to see a BL that values emotional safety. That said, the power dynamic lean (architect vs. a more vulnerable character) could have been explored more deeply.
