Wei Chung is living a picture-perfect life: a successful optician, a loving wife of nine years, and an adorable six-year-old son. But beneath the surface lies a quiet heartbreak. Before his marriage, Wei Chung embraced his gay identity, and when a chance encounter with the handsome and free-spirited Thomas reignites those buried feelings, his carefully constructed world begins to crack. This poignant Taiwanese film is not a simple romance—it's a soul-searching exploration of duty, sacrifice, and the courage to ask the hardest question: 'Will you still love me tomorrow if I choose to be my true self?' Blending gentle humor with raw emotion, the story refuses to offer easy answers, instead holding a mirror to the messy, beautiful reality of love in all its forms. Perfect for viewers who crave deeply human drama over conventional happy endings, this film will linger in your heart long after the credits roll.

I appreciate how this film refuses to romanticize the 'coming out' journey. Wei Chung's sacrifice for his family is heartbreaking, but Feng's decision to prioritize their individual happiness felt like the most mature ending possible. It's a quiet meditation on love, duty, and the courage to not lose yourself. The slow pace actually enhanced the realism for me.

The chemistry between Wei Chung and Thomas is so tender and understated—those longing glances and stolen moments broke my heart in the best way. Even though the story is painful, I rooted for them so hard. The ending left me teary but satisfied. This is what true, adult love looks like.

I get the emotional appeal, but the pacing really dragged for me. Some scenes felt repetitive, and the wife's arc could have used more development. The film tries to tackle too many themes without fully committing to any of them. Still, Book Chien's performance holds it together.

Visually stunning. The use of soft, natural lighting and tight framing perfectly mirrors Wei Chung's suffocating world. Every shot of Taipei feels intimate and melancholic. Arvin Chen has a gift for making ordinary spaces feel loaded with emotion. A masterclass in visual storytelling.

The soundtrack is understated but perfectly chosen—gentle piano and acoustic guitar that underscore the loneliness and longing. I wish there was an official release for a few of those tracks. The music doesn't overpower, it just wraps around you like a warm blanket.
