Get ready for a delightfully chaotic ride where fiction and reality collide! In this breezy Korean remake of the Thai hit, university acting major Jung Lee Won finds himself locked in a hilarious rivalry with sharp-tongued directing student Kim Ji Oh. Their constant bickering is the stuff of campus legend, but when they’re forced to collaborate on projects, sparks—of all kinds—begin to fly. Unbeknownst to Lee Won, his younger sister has been secretly writing a steamy BL novel starring him and Ji Oh, and her fictional plot twists start mirroring their real-life tension. Meanwhile, a second romance brews between soft-hearted Woo Sun Woo and the intensely focused Ko Yoo Kyeom, whose shared past with Sun Woo’s best friend complicates every tender moment. With its bright, artistic university setting, a perfect blend of enemies-to-lovers and friends-to-lovers arcs, and a playful nod to its Thai predecessor, *Why R U?* delivers a compact 8-episode dose of sweet, silly, and surprisingly heartfelt romance that never takes itself too seriously.

I absolutely adored this! The bickering between Lee Won and Ji Oh had me grinning like an idiot. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the way the sister's novel mirrors their real-life tension is hilarious. The kisses are cute and soft, exactly what I want from a K-BL. Both couples stole my heart—this is my feel-good comfort drama now.

I wanted to like this more, but the editing is a mess—choppy cuts and confusing flashbacks made it hard to follow. The second couple's conflict feels forced and illogical; why would anyone ask a stranger to fake a relationship? The main couple saves it with their undeniable charm, but the rushed ending left plot threads dangling. A fun distraction, but don't expect coherence.

Visually, this drama is a treat—the university campus is bathed in warm, golden light, and the color palette is soft and inviting. I loved the artistic setting and the way the camera lingers on the actors' expressions. However, the editing is choppy, and a few scenes feel disjointed. If the flow matched the gorgeous visuals, this could have been a masterpiece. Still, it's a pretty watch.

I came for the main couple but stayed for Sun Woo and Yoo Kyeom! Their slow-burn romance is so tender—the longing glances, the way Yoo Kyeom remembers every small detail about Sun Woo. Yes, their conflict is a bit messy, but the chemistry between the actors made up for it. I wish they had more screen time. Overall, a sweet drama that understands the beauty of gentle love.

As a huge fan of the Thai original, I was skeptical. This Korean version trims a lot of the plot and loses the sizzling tension of ZeeSaint's chemistry. But taken on its own, it's a cute, compact adaptation. The main couple is better developed than in the Thai version, though the second couple's story is clunky. If you can separate it from the original, you'll have fun.
