When the Apple Falls in Love is a tender Thai BL web series that explores the unexpected romance between Anawat, a quiet apple orchard owner in rural Chiang Mai, and Khunpol, a fast-paced Bangkok businessman who inherits a neighboring plot of land. Their clash of lifestyles—slow living versus corporate ambition—slowly gives way to a deep, heartfelt connection as they learn to harvest not just fruit but trust, vulnerability, and love. With its lush countryside cinematography and gentle pacing, the series captures the sweetness of a first love that blossoms against the odds, celebrating the courage it takes to follow your heart when the world tells you to stay apart.

I'm completely smitten! Anawat and Khunpol's love story is so pure and beautifully paced. The orchard setting is gorgeous, and every little look they exchange made my heart flutter. This is exactly the kind of soft, romantic BL I needed.

The acting is sweet but the plot is paper-thin. Not much happens beyond the two leads staring at each other and slowly realizing they like each other. For a six-episode series, the pacing drags in the middle. Cute but not memorable.

What a visually comforting series! The warm golden lighting, the way the camera captures the orchard in every season—it's like a moving painting. Even the simple scenes of them picking apples are framed beautifully. A treat for the eyes.

I appreciated that the show didn't force any dramatic coming-out tropes. The conflict is more about personal growth and class differences, and both leads communicate respectfully. However, the rich-poor dynamic felt a bit clichéd. Still, a solid effort in normalizing gay love in a rural setting.
