After a devastating teacher–student affair costs him his career and reputation, former educator Gosuke spirals into despair, taking up work at a men's host bar where he numbly drifts through hollow encounters. One fateful night, the angel Daniel descends from the heavens, drawn by the weight of Gosuke's shattered soul. What unfolds is a tender, otherworldly romance between a fallen man and a celestial being—a story that explores redemption, unconditional love, and the blurred line between sin and salvation. Set against the gritty neon-lit backdrop of Tokyo's nightlife, this 2002 Japanese Pink Film combines fantasy elements with raw emotional realism, offering a poignant meditation on loneliness and the healing power of connection. Director and cast deliver a surprisingly heartfelt performance beneath the film's mature exterior, making it a hidden gem for fans of LGBTQ+ cinema who appreciate art-house sensibilities with a soulful core.

I went in expecting just another adult film, but this one broke my heart in the best way. The angel Daniel is such a gentle presence, and Gosuke's despair feels so real. The sex scenes are actually poetic, not gratuitous. A hidden masterpiece of queer Japanese cinema.

The premise is intriguing, but the execution drags in the middle. I found the host club subplot underdeveloped, and the angel's motivations are a bit vague. Still, the lead performances carry it, and the ending left me thoughtful. Decent if you're patient.

The cinematography is stunning—every frame feels like a melancholic painting. The contrast between the grimy host club and Daniel's ethereal glow is breathtaking. I wish more BL films took visual risks like this. A feast for the eyes and the soul.

This film is a lost gem. I found a bootleg with English subs and it totally rewired my brain. The emotional payoff is huge. Yes, it's explicit, but it's also incredibly tender. If you love sad, beautiful stories about broken people finding light, watch this.

I appreciate the film's attempt to tackle deep emotional trauma, but I'm uneasy about the teacher-student backstory. The film kind of glosses over the power imbalance. However, the angel's unconditional love theme is beautiful and non-judgmental. Worth watching with a critical eye.
