What the Duck (often affectionately called 'What the F*ck') dives headfirst into the messy, adult world of love, identity, and career failure. After Pop, a perpetually confused aspiring flight attendant, bombs his dream interview, he takes a catering job at the airport—only to collide with the infuriatingly charming Oat. Pop's long-suffering girlfriend Mo watches from the sidelines as his heart starts wandering, while a secondary couple, Pree and Rambo, ignites the screen with a volatile, sexually charged relationship that blurs the line between obsession and affection. Set against a refreshingly non-school backdrop, this Thai series refuses to play it safe: it tackles bisexual awakening, toxic co-dependency, and the raw, ugly moments that come with growing up. With 20 episodes of slow-burn tension, tearful confrontations, and unexpected laughs, What the Duck is a chaotic, unforgettable ride that asks what you do when your heart has a mind of its own.

I can't believe people hate on this so much! Pop and Oat gave me all the butterflies — their awkward flirting and that airport rooftop scene? Pure magic. Yes, it's messy, but that's why it feels real. Oat's transformation from a goofy gambler to a soft boy in love had me squealing.

I came for the main couple but stayed for Pree and Rambo. Their chemistry is off the charts — every glance, every tear, every make-out session is electric. Yes, it's toxic as hell, but that's what makes it compelling. I've never rooted harder for a couple to get therapy AND each other.

20 episodes and nothing really happens until the last five. Pop's indecisiveness is exhausting, and Mo deserved way better writing. The side couple is literally just crying and having sex on repeat. I skipped whole chunks and didn't miss a thing. A massive waste of potential.

As a study of toxic relationships and bisexual awakening, this show is fascinating but painful. Pree and Rambo's dynamic is textbook codependency with a side of emotional manipulation. I appreciate that it dares to show ugly, realistic behavior, but I wish it had offered healthier alternatives. Not a comfort watch, but certainly a conversation starter.

The soundtrack alone is worth the watch. That opening theme gets stuck in your head for days, and the acoustic version Oat sings in the finale is heartbreakingly beautiful. The music perfectly mirrors the messy emotions — chaotic, sweet, and a little off-key. Definitely an underrated OST in Thai BL.
