Picking up after the events of Season 1, *What the Duck Season 2: Final Call* follows Pop as his dream of becoming a flight attendant crashes and burns. Forced to join the airline's catering service, he watches his girlfriend Mo fly off alone, while his complicated feelings for Oat simmer beneath the surface. This season takes a sharp dive into darkness, exploring the messy aftermath of ambition, heartbreak, and sacrifice. As Oat and Pop grapple with their unspoken bond, new couples emerge with shocking storylines involving addiction, violence, and forbidden desire. The series pulls no punches, weaving together multiple narratives that ask how far one will go for love—and whether some sacrifices are worth the cost. With a raw, unfiltered look at adult relationships and heavy themes, this season is a stark departure from typical Thai BL fare, delivering an emotional gut-punch that lingers long after the final call.

I came for the sweet chemistry between Oat and Pop from Season 1, but this was just painful. They barely had any romantic moments together, and the ending made me feel empty. Why would they turn a cute story into this mess of trauma?

The plot is a chaotic tangle of pointless side stories and rushed arcs. Newyear and Win's incest subplot came out of nowhere, the main couple barely interacts, and the finale is a non-ending. The editing and pacing are atrocious. A textbook case of wasted potential.

This series normalizes rape, incest, and self-harm without any critical lens. The Stockholm syndrome angle with Newyear and Win was deeply disturbing, and the casual treatment of drug abuse made me sick. There's a huge difference between depicting dark themes and glorifying them. This fails badly.

I'll give credit where it's due: the OST is incredible. The slow version of 'On Dao Dtok' in Episode 8 genuinely moved me. But good music can't save a story that's all over the place. I was so disappointed because the actors deserved better material.

I've watched over 200 BLs and this is one of the worst. The incest storyline alone was enough to make me drop it, but I pushed through hoping for a satisfying resolution for Oat and Pop. Instead I got a monk and a flight attendant with a buried time capsule. Complete waste of time.
