Do Hyeon, the stoic and dedicated captain of his university's basketball team, has one goal: winning the championship. But when a last-minute injury forces the team manager to bring in a replacement player, his world is turned upside down. The new player is Ban Dong Uk — his first love from high school, the one person he hasn't been able to forget. Five years ago, they shared an intense, unspoken bond that ended in a painful misunderstanding, leaving Do Hyeon with a heart full of unresolved hurt. Now, Dong Uk is back, and he's not the same. He struggles with chronic insomnia, a condition that worsens on rainy days, and has always found his only solace in Do Hyeon's presence. As they're forced to spend time together on the court and off, the old feelings resurface — along with the lingering questions of why they fell apart. A Breeze of Love is a tender, intimate drama that uses a fragmented timeline, lush cinematography, and quiet, powerful moments to tell a story of healing, second chances, and the kind of love that arrives as gently and unexpectedly as a breeze. It's a short but deeply emotive watch that focuses entirely on the emotional journey of its two leads, making every glance and touch feel monumental. Perfect for those who love slow-burn reunions, aesthetic storytelling, and the bittersweet ache of a first love rekindled.

I'm completely smitten! This is the kind of soft, aching romance I live for. The way Dong Wook can only sleep next to Do Hyeon? That's the most romantic thing I've ever seen. Their eye contact, the shy smiles, the way they slowly remember why they fell in love... I cried happy tears. The kiss scene in the rain is now living rent-free in my head. If you want a short, sweet, and emotionally rich BL, this is it!

I wanted to like this more, but the entire conflict hinges on a five-minute conversation that never happens. The flashbacks are repetitive and the pacing feels uneven. Do Hyeon's anger disappears way too quickly, and the insomnia solution is overly simplistic. It's pretty to look at, but the story needed more meat. Nice for a one-time watch, but not memorable.

Visually, this is a masterpiece. The warm color palette, the soft focus on the leads' faces, the use of rain as a storytelling device — I could pause every frame. The director knows how to use silence and space to build tension. Even the basketball scenes are beautifully choreographed. If you're a fan of cinematic BLs like 'The Eighth Sense', you'll adore this. A little shallow on plot, but pure eye candy.

The OST is lovely — soft guitar melodies that perfectly match the dreamy atmosphere. However, the sound mixing is occasionally jarring; some scenes have music that's too loud or cuts in abruptly, pulling me out of the moment. I wish they'd trusted the silent moments more. Still, the main theme has been on repeat for days. Worth listening to even if you don't watch.

As someone who read the original 'Weather Forecast Love' webtoon, I'm disappointed. The drama stripped away all the nuance about Dong Wook's insomnia backstory and turned a complex emotional journey into a standard misunderstanding trope. The side characters are barely present, and the cute subplot from the webtoon is missing. It's a pretty adaptation but a shallow one. Read the webtoon instead.

I appreciated the gentle handling of intimacy and the focus on emotional consent — Dong Wook clearly sets boundaries and Do Hyeon respects them. However, the power dynamic during the high school flashbacks is a bit iffy (Do Hyeon initially approaches Dong Wook when he's vulnerable and asleep). The drama never addresses this. Also, the female 'helper' character is overly pushy. Still, it's a step up from many BLs in terms of healthy communication.

I was more invested in the hinted second couple (Seung Joo and the mysterious water boy) than the main leads! They had such a cute dynamic in the final episodes, with that shy confession and the tiny bit of friction. I wish we got a full spin-off for them. The main couple is fine — sweet but a bit boring. Give me the awkward, swoony side romance any day!
