Dive back into the tender, enigmatic world of Pei Shou Yi and Yu Zhen Xuan in this hauntingly beautiful special episode. Set as a companion piece to the main series, this standalone story rewinds time to their very first encounter, peeling back the layers of a connection that defies logic. Yu Zhen Xuan, a man on the autism spectrum with a pure, unfiltered way of experiencing the world, meets the outwardly stoic Dr. Pei Shou Yi. Through a series of delicate flashbacks and emotionally charged moments, we witness how a chance meeting blossoms into an unbreakable bond, complete with a dance that feels like a hymn to love itself. This episode isn't just a recap—it's a soulful deep dive into the quiet, persistent love that bridges two seemingly incompatible souls. With stunning performances and a soundtrack that weeps and soars, it's a must-watch for anyone craving a love story that feels both impossibly romantic and achingly real.

I am completely wrecked. Yu Zhen Xuan is the most beautiful soul I've ever seen on screen. His portrayal of autism is so nuanced and real—it broke me and put me back together. The dance at the end? I sobbed. This is what love looks like when it's stripped of all pretense. Absolute perfection.

I wanted to love this more, but it felt like watching a highlight reel. The emotional beats are there, but the pacing is rushed, and the 'misunderstanding' between seasons feels forced. The acting saves it—Shih Chih Tian is phenomenal—but the plot needed another 40 minutes to breathe. Still, the OST is gorgeous.

This episode is basically a full-length music video and I am here for it. The BGM—especially Zhou Yutian's 'You Took the Only Love Letter I Ever Wrote'—wraps around every scene like a warm hug. The way the music swells during their dance is pure artistry. I've had the song on repeat for days.

Visually, this episode is a treat. The soft golden lighting, the intimate close-ups, and that dream sequence with the kiss—though the camera angle was a bit awkward—still capture a raw vulnerability. The color palette shifts between warm memories and cooler present moments beautifully. A director's cut would be divine.

I appreciate how this special handles Yu Zhen Xuan's neurodivergence without making it a tragic flaw. He isn't 'fixed' by love; his way of experiencing affection is celebrated. The power dynamic with Pei Shou Yi is handled with care—he listens, adapts, and never overrides Zhenxuan's boundaries. That's the kind of representation we need.
