Raf, a timid freshman psychology student, steps off the bus into the unfamiliar warmth of Roxas City, carrying not only his luggage but the weight of starting over. His new home is a modest apartment he shares with Dio, a confident senior Biology student who radiates an easy, grounded presence. Dio becomes Raf's gentle guide through the city's quiet rhythms—sun-drenched afternoons at the market, hushed evenings by the river, and the unexpected allure of a dimly lit nightclub where the boundaries between friendship and something deeper begin to blur. As they navigate the tender, uncertain space between roommates and something more, Raf discovers that the serene life Dio promised is also an invitation to confront his own desires. A short film that captures the intoxicating ache of first love, *Virgo Season* unfolds like a slow, golden afternoon—intimate, sensory, and achingly real.

I can't stop thinking about this film. The way Dio looks at Raf across the apartment—it's like the whole world fades. The chemistry is so natural, I felt like I was intruding on something private and beautiful. A must-watch for anyone who loves slow, tender romance.

Visually stunning. The cinematography captures Roxas City's golden hour light with a dreamy, almost Wong Kar-wai quality. The pacing is deliberately slow, which works for the mood but might frustrate viewers expecting a tighter plot. Still, as a short film, it's a gorgeous mood piece.

The premise is sweet but the script feels undercooked. Raf's internal conflict is hinted at but never fully explored, and the nightclub scene feels a bit abrupt. The emotional payoff didn't land for me because we barely know these characters beyond their longing stares. Pretty, but shallow.

I appreciate how the film handles consent and emotional readiness. Raf's hesitation is respected; Dio never pushes. That quiet, careful attention to boundaries is rare in BL. The nudity is framed as vulnerability, not exploitation. A thoughtful piece for those who value ethical intimacy in storytelling.

The soundtrack is absolutely haunting. That one ambient track during the river scene—I've been searching for it ever since. The music doesn't just accompany the visuals, it carries the emotional weight. If this film gets a wider release, I hope the OST drops too.
