Prepare yourself for a wild ride that defies all logic and embraces glorious chaos. *Unforgotten Night* is a Thai BL that knows exactly what it is: a deliciously messy, unintentionally hilarious, and oddly addictive mafia romance that has become a cult phenomenon for all the wrong—and right—reasons. The story begins when heartbroken office worker Kim, still clinging to memories of his high school ex, seeks a single night of distraction. That one night leads him to Kamol, a notoriously powerful and terrifying mafia boss who, against all odds, becomes instantly, obsessively smitten. What follows is a whirlwind of kidnappings, unexplained plot holes, a pet tiger named Whipped Cream, and the most bafflingly romantic piano music ever composed. Kamol is a crime lord who can't seem to control his forehead (or his emotions), while Kim alternates between sass and submission. This is a series where the leads pirouette into lap sits, the bodyguards randomly have a threesome, and the main couple's BDSM dynamic is about as intense as a sternly worded letter. Yet somehow, beneath the cringe and the camp, there's a sweet core: a cold, lonely man who falls hard for a man who needs to learn to love again. *Unforgotten Night* is not a good drama in the traditional sense, but it is an unforgettable experience—a glorious disaster that will have you laughing, cringing, and pressing play on the next episode before you can even ask, 'Wait, why is the water running?'

I honestly can't stop laughing. This show is a masterpiece of bad decisions. The mafia boss looks like a baby-faced angel, the tattoo looks like spray-painted arm hair, and every time the dramatic piano music kicks in I lose it. The bodyguard shower threesome came out of nowhere and I'm still not over it. If you want a serious BDSM romance, run away. If you want the most fun you'll ever have yelling at your screen, dive in. I've rewatched it twice already.

This is objectively terrible. The logic is nonexistent, the dialogue sounds like it was written by a random word generator, and the editing jumps from scene to scene without any continuity. Why does the water keep running? Why does Kim do a full 360 spin when sitting on Kamol's lap? I gave it a 3 because at least I got some laughs out of the sheer absurdity, but I can't in good conscience recommend this to anyone who values coherent storytelling.

Let's be real: we all watched this for Kom and Baiboon. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the tension builds beautifully until... nothing happens. Still, the main leads grow on you. Kamol is so ridiculously whipped for Kim that it's adorable, and Kim's stubbornness is cute. The show is a hot mess but I have a soft spot for it. Just skip the first episode's 'BDSM' scene unless you want to cringe into another dimension.

As someone who loved the novel, this adaptation is a betrayal. The book's Kamol is a terrifying, muscular alpha with a dark beard, not the soft, baby-faced Yoon. And why was Cherry added? She doesn't exist in the source material and just clutters the plot. The series did keep the core romance, but it stripped away all the intensity and replaced it with awkwardness. If you haven't read the book, you might enjoy this more than I did. For me, it's a painful miss.

The show's handling of BDSM is genuinely problematic. The first encounter starts with non-consensual touching and then tries to retroactively justify it with a few 'are you okay?' lines. The power dynamics are never properly addressed, and Kamol's kidnapping and imprisonment of Kim is romanticized without any real critique. I get that it's a fantasy, but even within that, there's a lack of care. That said, I did appreciate that later scenes show Kamol checking in, but it's too little, too late.

I'm giving this a 7 purely for the soundtrack. That dramatic piano theme that plays whenever Kamol enters a room or grabs someone's wrist is iconic. It's so over-the-top and perfect for the campy vibe. The background music during the supposed romantic moments is hilariously mismatched, but honestly, it adds to the charm. The main theme song is actually pretty catchy too. The show itself is a disaster, but the music makes it an unforgettable one.

Look, if you come here for mafia action, you'll be disappointed. The shootouts are laughable (one guy stands still while being shot at), the fight choreography is straight out of a high school play, and the 'killing' looks more like a nap. But for some reason, I kept watching. The tiger named Whipped Cream is worth the price of admission alone. It's not good action, but it's entertaining in the way a train wreck is. Just don't expect KinnPorsche level stunts.

I don't care what anyone says—I LOVED this. Kamol and Kim have my whole heart. Yes, it's messy. Yes, the acting is uneven. But Kamol's devotion to Kim is everything. He literally changes his entire life for him. The scene where Kim finally calls him by his first name instead of 'Mr. Kamol' made me cry. The pet tiger, the weird bathtub scenes, the awkwardness—it all just adds to the charm. This is my comfort show and I'll defend it forever.
