Briggs runs a bridal car service, ferrying couples to their happily-ever-afters, yet he’s never experienced love himself. That changes when he meets Shao, a warm-hearted man trapped in an arranged marriage to the glamorous but disinterested Louise. As Briggs and Shao’s connection deepens, they navigate a web of family obligations, societal pressure, and self-discovery. This Filipino mini-series, based on a true story, doesn’t shy away from raw emotions, sexual awakening, and the courage it takes to follow your heart. With a refreshingly nuanced trans character and a GL subplot that adds depth, *Tie the Not* is a compact, steamy, and heartfelt journey about choosing authenticity over expectation — even when the world tries to tie you down.

I absolutely adored this! The chemistry between Briggs and Shao is electric and feels so natural. Their journey from strangers to lovers had me swooning. Yes, the ending could have been tighter, but the steamy scenes and emotional beats more than made up for it. A must-watch for fans of passionate, adult BL.

I wanted to like this more, but the writing really let it down. The build-up is decent until episode 7, then the finale completely deflates. Briggs' actions after the wedding climax make no sense — he ruins a life and then just ghosts? The business deal plotline gets dropped entirely. Honestly, the leads deserved a better script.

I'm giving this a higher score because of the trans representation alone — Georgia is written with respect and agency, a huge step forward for Oxin. However, I'm troubled by the drunk sex scene between the leads. Shao placed huge importance on his first time, and the lack of explicit consent there felt off. Still, the honest conversations about virginity and the GL subplot show the writers are trying.

Can we talk about how gorgeous the OST is? The soft, melancholic piano themes and the original song perfectly capture the love and heartbreak. Every emotional scene was elevated by the music. I've already added the tracks to my playlist. The story may have flaws, but the soundtrack alone makes this a rewatch for me.
