In a conservative South Korean society where being openly LGBTQ+ can mean losing everything, gay doctor Min Su and lesbian doctor Hyo Jin strike a groundbreaking deal: a lavender marriage. Min Su needs to placate his overbearing mother and hide his sexuality, while Hyo Jin needs a husband to legally adopt a child with her long-term girlfriend, Seo Yeong. What begins as a practical arrangement soon blossoms into a beautiful, chaotic friendship as they navigate double dates, family gatherings, and the hilarious awkwardness of pretending to be a perfect couple. But when real love enters the picture for Min Su in the form of the charming Lee Seok, and societal pressure mounts, their carefully constructed facade begins to crack. Balancing laugh-out-loud comedy with gut-wrenching drama, this pioneering Korean queer film explores identity, sacrifice, and the courage it takes to live authentically—even when the world tells you to hide.

I absolutely adored the romantic dynamic between Min Soo and Lee Seok! Their awkward first night and the way they supported each other through the chaos was so endearing. The movie balanced laughs with heartfelt moments perfectly. Definitely a must-watch for anyone who loves a good queer love story with genuine feels.

I appreciate the film's intent but the execution felt messy. The pacing was rushed, especially in the first half, and the overacting from some of the supporting cast took me out of the story. The death at the end felt manipulative and the random dance number was cringe. Still, the main couple had some nice moments.

This film doesn't shy away from showing the harsh realities of being queer in a conservative society while still allowing joy and humor. The portrayal of internalized homophobia and the struggle of coming out is powerful. I appreciate that the director, an out gay man, included a variety of LGBTQ characters, though some stereotypes were a bit dated. The message about standing up for love is timeless.

The soundtrack was unexpectedly charming! There's a soft, indie feel to the songs that matched the bittersweet tone of the movie. The musical numbers, while a bit amateurish, added a quirky layer. I still find myself humming the main theme. Not perfect, but the music definitely enhanced the emotional beats for me.

I loved seeing a lesbian couple front and center in a Korean film, but I was disappointed by how little screen time they got. Hyo Jin was a fantastic character, and her struggle to adopt with Seo Yeong was touching. I wish the story had balanced the two couples better. Still, their few scenes together were heartwarming and important for representation.
