When Kim Min Ki's older brother Min Hoon commits suicide while on leave from the military, the grieving young man travels to Pattaya, Thailand, to confront Park Jae Hui—the boyfriend he blames for the tragedy. But instead of the heartless villain he expects, Min Ki finds a man haunted by his own guilt and loss, living with Lee Tae Kyung, his terminally ill stepbrother who harbors a secret love for him. As the three navigate their intertwined grief, unexpected bonds form: Min Ki and Jae Hui slowly move from accusation to understanding, while Tae Kyung becomes an unlikely bridge between them. Set against the sultry Thai backdrop, this Korean-Thai co-production tackles heavy themes of military homophobia, suicide, and the messy aftermath of trauma. The narrative jumps between past and present, challenging viewers to piece together the emotional puzzle of love, loss, and the courage to move forward. A raw, melancholic drama that dares to ask whether healing can bloom from the most complicated of circumstances.

I appreciate the raw honesty, but the nonlinear timeline really frustrated me—I had to rewatch the opening twice. Still, the acting is surprisingly strong for newcomers, and the themes of grief and forbidden connection are handled with nuance. Not for casual viewers, but a worthwhile watch if you're in the mood for something heavy.

I fell so hard for Min Ki and Jae Hui! Their journey from accusation to tentative love felt so real and aching. The beach scenes, the quiet glances—my heart couldn't take it. Yes, it's sad, but the hope at the end made every tear worth it. This is what raw, messy love looks like.

Visually, it's a mixed bag. Some shots of Pattaya are stunning—the golden hour light, the quiet beaches. But the sound design is echo-y in places and there's a mirror continuity error that yanked me out of a crucial scene. The color grading suits the melancholic mood, but the production feels amateur in stretches.

This film deserves credit for shining a light on the homophobic bullying in South Korea's military—a real issue. But I wish it had addressed the power dynamics between Min Ki and Jae Hui more directly. The grieving brother falling for his dead brother's ex is ethically complicated, and the movie kind of glosses over that. Still, a brave effort.

I kept waiting for a standout song to match the emotional weight, but the soundtrack is pretty forgettable—generic piano ballads that don't amplify the drama. The music director needed to take more risks. That said, one or two tracks did manage to hit the right bittersweet note during the final beach scene.
