Three best friends—Alex, Ben, and Carlo—have been inseparable since college. After a long vacation exploring the Philippine islands, they check into a hotel room for one last night together. What begins as playful banter and shared laughter soon gives way to a charged atmosphere as suppressed feelings surface. The cramped space amplifies every lingering glance and accidental touch, forcing each man to confront his own yearnings. As the night deepens, they navigate the fragile boundaries of friendship, jealousy, and a desire that might encompass all three. Triple Check-in is a sensual short film that captures the electric tension of friends-to-lovers with a polyamorous twist, celebrating queer intimacy and the courage to redefine love. With raw performances and a claustrophobic hotel setting, it offers a bold, honest look at the messy thrill of opening your heart to more than one.

I absolutely loved the tension between these three! The way they slowly gave in to their desires was so beautifully done. The hotel setting made every moment feel intimate and real. I'm already rewatching it!

As a short film, it's visually nice but the plot is essentially just a prolonged hookup scene. The dialogue felt forced and the character development was minimal. It's fine for what it is, but don't expect depth.

The lighting and framing in that hotel room are stunning. The director uses shadows and close-ups to heighten the emotional claustrophobia. The color grading gives it a warm, sunset glow that contrasts with the raw emotions. A visual treat.

I appreciate that the film shows a polyamorous triad forming organically, but I wish there was more explicit discussion of boundaries and consent. The heat is there, but the emotional safety could be clearer. Still, a step forward for queer representation.
