In the glittering yet cutthroat world of Thai entertainment, two stars orbit each other in a dance of rivalry, desire, and unexpected vulnerability. *Top Form* introduces us to Jin (Smart), a fiercely determined rising actor whose obsessive admiration for the reigning king of the industry, Akin (Boom), drives him to pursue fame not for glory, but to stand on equal ground with the man he's been in love with for years. Akin, a five-time winner of 'Sexiest Man of the Year,' is a guarded perfectionist whose public confidence masks deep insecurities and a lonely heart. When Jin bursts into his life—first as an annoying rival, then as an unnervingly perceptive co-star—their professional competition slowly ignites into a magnetic, emotional connection. But the path to love is treacherous: relentless fans, manipulative media, and a shadowy past threaten to tear them apart. What makes *Top Form* truly special is its raw emotional honesty. It's not just about two pretty faces falling in love; it's about two broken people learning to trust, to let go of control, and to find solace in each other's arms. Adapted from the acclaimed manga *Dakaichi*, this Thai version infuses the story with its own soul, delivering a masterclass in acting and chemistry. From the tenderest whispers to the sizzling, award-worthy 'honey scene' that will leave you breathless, every moment feels earned. The series masterfully balances industry satire with a deeply personal romance, exploring themes of consent, fame, and the courage to love freely. With stunning cinematography, a haunting OST, and a lead couple whose on-screen intimacy redefines the genre, *Top Form* is a must-watch for anyone who believes that true love—even when messy and complicated—is worth fighting for.

I came for the hype, stayed for the heart. Smart and Boom are absolutely unreal together—their chemistry is the kind that makes you forget they're acting. That honey scene? Pure art. But beyond the steamy moments, the emotional depth gutted me. Akin's breakdowns felt so real I cried with him. This is how you do mature BL. Ignore the plot nitpickers—this show is about two people finding each other amidst chaos, and it delivers beautifully.

Let's be honest: the acting and chemistry are carrying this show on their backs. The plot is a mess—rushed arcs, dropped conflicts, and characters making decisions that defy logic. Akin suffers trauma every episode with no real resolution, and the handling of sexual assault is infuriatingly careless. I wanted to love it, but the writing is just too weak. If you're here for SmartBoom's performances, you'll have a good time. If you need a coherent story, look elsewhere.

Visually, *Top Form* is a feast. The lighting in the intimate scenes—especially the honey episode—is breathtaking, with warm amber tones that make every touch feel sacred. The camera lingers on faces during emotional beats, capturing micro-expressions that most dramas miss. Even the 'drama within a drama' sequences are shot with a distinct cinematic flair. Yes, the plot has holes, but the direction and color grading alone make this worth watching for any aesthetics geek.

As a diehard *Dakaichi* fan, I was terrified of this adaptation, but it exceeded expectations. The Thai version wisely tones down the original manga's problematic consent issues—Jin is no longer a rapist, just an obsessive sweetheart. They kept the core rivalry-to-romance arc but gave it more emotional grounding. Boom's Akin is perfect: that introverted pride, the hidden softness. Smart captures Jin's relentless devotion without the creep factor. A few side plots feel rushed, but overall, this is the best manga live-action I've seen in years.

I have serious ethical concerns with this series. The show trivializes sexual assault—Johnny drugs and almost rapes Akin, yet the narrative treats it as a minor plot point with zero consequences. Akin's victim-blaming dialogue is disgusting. The constant use of trauma as cheap drama is irresponsible. I know people love the leads' chemistry, but good acting doesn't excuse harmful storytelling. If you're sensitive to consent issues, do not watch this without preparation.

The soundtrack is a mixed bag. The main theme is gorgeous and fits the romantic tension perfectly, but the random insertion of K-pop songs during dramatic moments threw me off. The piano melody during the honey scene was hauntingly beautiful—more of that, please. Some background scores feel generic, but the emotional peaks are well-supported by music. I'd love a full OST release. Not a perfect score, but the music adds enough to keep me invested.

I don't understand the critics. Yes, the plot isn't revolutionary, but this show is about FEELINGS, not plot. I've rewatched it three times and each time I notice new layers in Boom's acting—the way his hands tremble, the slight change in his posture when he's scared. Smart's Jin is my ideal partner: patient, fierce, utterly devoted. The NC scenes are the best I've ever seen in BL—they're not just hot, they're raw storytelling. This is my favorite drama of 2025, period.

I appreciate the strong performances, but the script let everyone down. Akin's character is reduced to a crybaby who needs constant saving—his constant victimization got exhausting. Jin is basically a perfect savior with no flaws. The 'misunderstandings' are repetitive and childish. The honey scene, while well-shot, doesn't justify the insane hype. Watch for Boom's acting, but manage expectations. This is not a masterpiece, just a decent BL boosted by exceptional casting.
