When college freshman Hae Won moves into a mysterious guesthouse, his curiosity leads him to a hidden gem: Florida Banjeom, a charming rooftop Chinese restaurant run by the handsome but reserved chef Eun Kyu. Their meet-cute is nothing short of adorable—a runaway suitcase literally sends Hae Won crashing into Eun Kyu’s arms, setting the stage for a sweet, slow-building romance. As Hae Won begins working at the restaurant, he discovers a tight-knit circle of friends and a love triangle involving Eun Kyu’s best friend, Ji Soo. With its openly queer characters, warm atmosphere, and a soundtrack that will have you smiling, this Korean BL movie is a cozy hug in cinematic form. It’s a light, feel-good story about finding your place, falling in love, and the joy of simple connections—perfect for a mood-lifting escape.

I can't stop smiling! Hae Won and Eun Kyu are the cutest pair—their chemistry is just so natural and sweet. The scene where he helps him put on the apron? I died. This is my go-to comfort movie now.

It's cute, but let's be real—the love triangle conflict is blown way out of proportion for two friends who supposedly have 15 years of history. The plot skips around without real emotional payoff. Still, I enjoyed the fluff if I turned my brain off.

This movie is a visual delight! The warm amber lighting on the rooftop, the cozy interiors, and the soft focus shots of the leads smiling at each other—it's like a dreamy photo album come to life. The director knew how to make every frame count.

I appreciated that Hae Won is openly queer from the start—no coming-out drama. The love triangle being entirely male is refreshing, and the story doesn't villainize anyone for their feelings. It's a small step, but it feels respectful and sincere.

The music is the star here! 'Star' by Runy is on my daily playlist—it's so bouncy and uplifting. And the title track 'Florida' sung by the cast? Pure joy. The background score perfectly matches the lighthearted tone. I listen to it while I work.
