When White inherits his father's sprawling, mysterious mansion, he expects nothing more than a dusty estate to sort through. But beneath the creaking floorboards lies a hidden laboratory, and within it, a secret that will change his life forever: V, a hyper-intelligent android with startlingly human emotions. As White tentatively reawakens V from a long slumber, an unlikely bond blossoms between the grieving young man and the curious robot. Together, they navigate the blurred lines between human and machine, confronting loneliness, loss, and the delicate nature of love. 'The Sweet Robot' blends Thai BL warmth with a gentle sci-fi fantasy, offering a tender, introspective romance that asks: can a heart of circuits learn to love as deeply as one of flesh and blood?

I absolutely melted watching White and V slowly connect. The way V learns to smile because of White—ugh, my heart! This is exactly the kind of tender, innocent romance I crave. No drama, no toxicity, just two souls (one robotic) finding each other. 100% recommend if you love soft boyfriends.

The concept is cute, but the pacing drags in the middle episodes and the science behind V's AI is frustratingly vague. I wanted more world-building and less aimless wandering around the mansion. Still, the emotional beats hit when they need to, even if the logic is shaky.

Visually, this drama is a quiet gem. The lighting in the basement lab gives everything a soft, ethereal glow, and the contrast between the dusty old house and V's sleek design is stunning. Every frame feels intentional—like a warm, melancholic painting. Easily one of the prettiest BLs I've seen this year.

I appreciate that the show handles consent carefully—White always asks before touching V, and V's learning curve about boundaries is respectfully portrayed. However, I wish the narrative had addressed the power imbalance more directly. The emotional payoff is lovely, but a deeper conversation about autonomy would have elevated it.

The piano-led score perfectly mirrors the loneliness and hope in the story. There's this one instrumental track that plays when V first touches sunlight—I had to rewind it three times. If only the official OST were released on streaming, I'd loop it all day. The music is the real MVP here.
