The Promise Season 2 picks up where the emotional first season left off, diving deeper into the evolving relationship between Pat and Pete (played with palpable chemistry by Kun Kittikun Tansuhas and Kiak Wattikorn Permsubhirun). After overcoming the initial hurdles that tested their bond, the couple now faces new challenges that threaten to pull them apart—family expectations, career pressures, and lingering insecurities. This season explores what it truly means to keep a promise when life gets messy. With heartfelt dialogue, tender moments, and the occasional sprinkle of angst, the series balances realistic relationship struggles with the warmth of a love that refuses to give up. Expect more character growth, surprising allies, and a few teary-eyed confessions that will leave you rooting for this couple until the very last frame.

I am SOBBING. Pat and Pete's love story feels so real—the way they fight and then make up had me clutching my heart. The glances, the little touches, everything is perfect. This season gave me all the feels. Kun and Kiak are soulmates, I swear.

Emotionally it works, but the pacing drags in episodes 4-6 with redundant arguments. Some conflicts feel forced to extend the runtime. The ending is satisfying, but I wish the edit had been tighter. Still, the main couple's dynamic carries it.

The cinematography this season is gorgeous—soft golden hour lighting, intimate close-ups, and color palettes that shift with the characters' moods. The rooftop confession scene is beautifully framed. A visual treat for anyone who appreciates good direction.

The OST is phenomenal! The main theme plays at just the right moments, and the background piano during the emotional scenes tugs at your heartstrings. I've already added three songs to my playlist. Music elevates this show to another level.

I appreciate how the series addresses consent and emotional boundaries—Pat's anxiety is handled with care, and Pete's patience is refreshing. However, some family dynamics feel one-dimensional. It's a step forward for BL representation of healthy relationships, but not perfect.
