In this tender Filipino BL miniseries, two childhood friends, Alex and Marco, navigate the fragile line between friendship and love—only to face a devastating betrayal that threatens to shatter their bond forever. When a secret from the past resurfaces, their seemingly perfect relationship unravels, forcing them to confront painful truths about trust, identity, and what it truly means to let go. Through six emotionally charged episodes, The Perfect Heartbreak explores the raw aftermath of a broken heart, weaving a story of healing, self-discovery, and the courage to love again. With a focus on intimate storytelling and authentic performances from a talented young cast, this series captures the bittersweet reality that sometimes the most beautiful love stories are the ones that end—and the ones that begin in the ruins.

I absolutely adored this! The chemistry between Alex and Marco is so natural—it felt like watching real friends fall in love. Yes, it broke my heart, but that's exactly what I signed up for. The airport scene destroyed me. More Filipino BL like this, please!

The acting is decent, but the plot is painfully predictable. The whole 'secret from the past' trope has been done to death, and the resolution felt rushed. With only six episodes, they should have tightened the script instead of dragging out the angst. Not terrible, but not memorable.

For a low-budget web series, the cinematography surprised me. The soft lighting in the confession scene and the rain-soaked final breakup were beautifully shot. The color palette shifts subtly from warm to cool as the relationship crumbles—a lovely visual storytelling choice. More production value than I expected.

I appreciate that the show tries to address trust and communication in relationships, but the way the 'betrayal' is handled feels a bit one-sided. The female best friend is reduced to a plot device, and the conflict relies on a misunderstanding that could have been solved with a single conversation. Still, it's a step forward for Filipino BL representation.
