Set in the vibrant hallways of a Thai university, *The Love Matter* follows the intertwining lives of two students from different worlds. Kao (Boom Panathon) is a quiet, introspective art student who keeps his heart guarded after a painful past. Meanwhile, Phoom (Pond Poramet) is a charismatic and outgoing engineering major who seems to have it all—except the courage to accept his true feelings. When they are paired for a collaborative semester project, an unexpected friendship blossoms into a tender, slow-burning romance that challenges their fears and societal expectations. With a rich ensemble of supporting characters, including a fiercely loyal best friend (Ta Pichai) and a pair of side characters navigating their own love story, the series explores themes of self-acceptance, vulnerability, and the courage it takes to let someone in. *The Love Matter* delivers heartfelt moments and genuine chemistry, making it a standout addition to Thai BL storytelling.

I'm absolutely in love with Kao and Phoom! Their slow-burn romance had me smiling like an idiot every episode. The way they gradually open up to each other feels so real and earned—no forced drama, just pure heart. Definitely one of my top Thai BLs this year.

The romance is sweet, but the pacing drags in the middle episodes. Some side plots feel underdeveloped, and the conflict near the end is resolved a little too neatly. Still, it's a pleasant watch if you're in the mood for something low-stakes and fluffy.

Can we talk about the second couple? Their angst and chemistry completely stole the show for me. I wish they got more screen time, but every scene they had was electric. The main couple is lovely too, but I'm here for the messy side romance.

The color palette is so warm and dreamy—every scene looks like a soft-filtered memory. The use of natural light in the university scenes and the framing of intimate conversations really elevated the emotional moments. A visual treat for BL fans who appreciate good cinematography.

While the romance is cute, I found the power dynamic in the early episodes a bit concerning—one lead often pushes the other's boundaries for 'comedy.' It improves later, but I wish the show had addressed consent more explicitly. Still, it's a step above many older BLs in terms of character growth.
