In the shadowy corners of a Thai university, young student Meen lives an ordinary life—until a mysterious ancient bloodline awakens within her. As the dormant Pob (a vengeful spirit akin to a vampire) stirs, Meen finds herself drawn to her captivating teacher, Khun Fa. But this supernatural awakening comes with a price: an insatiable hunger for possession and protection that blurs the lines between love and obsession. As Meen's body and desires transform, she must navigate a world where horror meets romance, and where the deadliest threat may be her own heart. Featuring a tender lesbian romance at its core and a compelling gay side couple, 'The Hidden Blood' weaves a tale of forbidden love, identity, and the monstrous choices we make for the ones we cherish. With stunning Thai cinematography and a haunting soundtrack, this 2026 series reimagines vampire lore through an LGBTQ+ lens, delivering both chills and heartfelt emotional depth.

I am absolutely obsessed with Meen and Khun Fa! Their chemistry is electric, and the way the Pob spirit makes her protective yet vulnerable is such a fresh take on vampire love. The longing looks, the slow burn—I swooned every episode. This is exactly the kind of wlw supernatural romance I've been craving.

Okay yes, the main lesbian couple is sweet, but the gay side couple (the teacher's brooding assistant and the mysterious student) absolutely stole the show for me. Their angst, their redemption arc, the toxic-but-tender dynamic—it gave me everything. I wish they had more screen time, but what we got was dark and delicious.

I wanted to love this, but the pacing felt uneven. The horror elements were effective, but the rules of the Pob spirit are never fully explained—sometimes it controls Meen, sometimes she resists. Also, the age-gap romance didn't get enough ethical exploration. Visually stunning, but the story needed tighter writing.

Every single frame is a painting. The use of moonlight, shadow, and deep reds to signify the Pob's presence is genius. The camera lingers on hands, eyes, lips—building tension without a word. The color grading shifts from warm class tones to cold supernatural blues. Director deserves an award.

I appreciate that the show tries to address consent within a supernatural possession narrative, but it walks a fine line. The teacher's initial attraction to a student is complicated, and the Pob's influence blurs whether Meen's feelings are genuine. The gay side couple explicitly explores unhealthy power dynamics, which was handled more maturely. Worth watching for the conversation it starts.
