Welcome to Suppalo, an all-boys school where tradition is law and a chilling legend hangs in the air like a coming storm. As a solar eclipse approaches, so does a wave of strange accidents dubbed 'The Curse of Suppalo'—and a rebellious student group called 'The World Remembers' boldly protests the school's rigid rules. Into this pressure cooker steps Ayan, a transfer student with a magnetic smile and a hidden agenda. He’s not just here to study; he’s investigating the mysterious death of his uncle, a former teacher. His target? Akk, the diligent, rule-abiding class monitor who seems to be the curse's prime suspect. What follows is an intense, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance set against a backdrop of mystery, rebellion, and self-discovery. Ayan’s relentless flirtation and probing questions chip away at Akk’s carefully constructed walls, forcing him to confront not only the secrets of the school but also his own suppressed identity. More than just a whodunit, *The Eclipse* is a deeply emotional story about the fear of being seen, the courage to break free, and the urgent need for acceptance in a world that demands conformity. With its stunning cinematography, a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack (including a standout opening theme), and a cast that delivers powerhouse performances—especially First and Khaotung as the fiery lead couple—this series captures the turbulent, desperate, and hopeful heart of queer adolescence. It’s a drama that dares to ask: what happens when the eclipse ends, and you have to face the light?

I am OBSESSED with First and Khaotung! Their chemistry is absolutely insane—every scene they share feels so real and electric. I rewatched the rooftop kiss like ten times. The slow burn was painful but so worth it. Yes, the curse plot got a bit weird, but honestly I didn't care because Akk and Ayan's love story carried the whole show. A new all-time favorite for me!

I came for the main leads but stayed for Kan and Thua. Neo and Louis have such an understated, tender chemistry—the secret glances, the hidden kiss, the angst of being closeted and in love. Their storyline felt more grounded and believable to me. The way Thua's character was handled in the final episodes frustrated me (he deserved better writing), but their emotional beats still hit hard. Loved seeing Neo break out of his comedic shell.

The acting is fantastic, but the plot is a mess. It starts as a promising mystery about a curse and a rebellion, then forgets both to become a standard romance. The 'curse' incidents are laughably mild, and the twist in Ep11 comes out of nowhere with no setup. Also, the protestors are mad about wearing uniforms? Really? That’s the oppressive system? The writing contradicts itself and drags terribly in the middle. Only the cast saves it from being a total dud. Watch for First and Khaotung, skip for everything else.

This show is a visual feast. Every frame is so carefully composed—the use of light and shadow during the eclipse motifs, the warm color palette of the school, the way the camera lingers on the actors' faces during emotional moments. The opening credits alone are works of art. I appreciated the symbolic imagery (the eclipse, the rules board, the uniform as conformity). Even if the plot faltered, I could watch this on mute and still be mesmerized. GMMTV really stepped up their production game here.

I fell in love with the soundtrack before I even finished the first episode. The opening theme 'Ga-Nun-Saeng' by Khaotung is hauntingly beautiful—it perfectly captures the mood of longing and mystery. And then First and Khaotung's duet version? Chills. The background score is so moody and atmospheric; it really elevates every emotional beat. I've been listening to the playlist on repeat for weeks. The music alone makes this a must-watch for any BL OST lover.

I appreciate that this drama tries to tackle homophobia, coming out, and the pressure to conform—but it fumbles the execution badly. The forced outing scene in Ep11 is absolutely horrifying, and the show just brushes it under the rug without any real consequences or apology. For a story that preaches about acceptance and choice, that was a massive fail. Also, Ayan's persistent boundary-pushing early on feels less like romance and more like harassment at times. I wanted to love it, but the handling of consent and trauma left a sour taste. Still, the conversations about internalized shame were powerful, and Akk's journey toward self-acceptance is beautifully acted.

I read the original novel, and this adaptation is a pale shadow. The book's tense, slow-burn investigation and the haunting supernatural elements are replaced by clumsy melodrama and an over-the-top 'rebellion' that makes no sense. The characters are also softened; the book's Akk is far more conflicted and darker, and Ayan's motives are clearer. The drama changes key plot points and removes the best twists. If you haven't read the source material, you might enjoy it, but as a fan of the novel, I was deeply disappointed. The cast tries their best, but it's a lost cause.

I don't care what the critics say—this is a masterpiece. First and Khaotung gave the performance of their careers. The way Ayan looks at Akk, the way Akk slowly melts, the confession scene, the way they finally kiss in the rain... I was a mess. This is everything I want from a BL: intense emotion, beautiful acting, and a love story that feels earned. The side plots are whatever, but the main couple is perfection. I've already rewatched three times. THANK YOU for this gift.
