When a quiet Filipino university student, Andrei (Easy Ferrer), unexpectedly becomes the campus buddy for a charming Korean exchange student, Jun (Raynold Tan), he never imagined his carefully structured world would be turned upside down. As they navigate language barriers, cultural differences, and the pressures of college life, an undeniable connection blossoms between them. But Andrei's best friend, Carlo (Raven Rigor), harbors his own feelings, while Jun's past in Seoul threatens to pull him back. The Day I Loved You, Two is a tender, short-form web series that captures the exhilarating uncertainty of first love and the courage it takes to embrace your true self. With its heartfelt performances, warm cinematography, and a story that celebrates queer love across borders, this Filipino gem delivers a satisfying emotional journey in just a few episodes.

I am absolutely melting! Easy and Raynold have this spark that feels so real—I caught myself smiling like an idiot through every episode. The way they slowly open up to each other across the language barrier... pure magic. This is the soft, comforting BL I needed.

It's cute but way too short to develop any real depth. The conflict with Jun's past in Korea gets resolved in a single exposition dump, and Carlo's crush on Andrei feels like an afterthought. Still, the main couple has nice moments—I just wish the pacing was better.

Visually, this is a treat. The warm golden-hour lighting in the campus scenes and the soft focus during intimate talks give it a dreamy, almost indie-film vibe. The color grading subtly shifts from cool blues to warm yellows as their relationship grows. Beautiful work.

The OST is lovely—especially the acoustic guitar track that plays during their first real conversation. It's simple but fits the gentle mood perfectly. I just wish there were a few more original songs; the looping background music got a little repetitive by the last episode.

I appreciate how the series handles cross-cultural romance without falling into stereotypes. Andrei's family support is refreshing, and there's a clear emphasis on consent—every kiss is preceded by a meaningful look or verbal check-in. It's a small but important detail that makes this feel safe and respectful.
