In this delightfully offbeat Taiwanese short film, the charismatic French teacher G (played with flamboyant flair) steps into a chaotic acting class, determined to whip a motley crew of students into shape. Among them are a pretentious drama queen, a painfully boring introvert, and an eccentric oddball—each struggling with their own insecurities and artistic pretensions. But as Teacher G’s unconventional lessons unfold, the focus subtly shifts from theatrical technique to the magnetic tension between the gorgeous instructor and a shy, overlooked student. Through a series of playful exercises, awkward moments, and unexpectedly tender glances, the film explores the magic that happens when vulnerability meets encouragement. Brimming with meta-humor and a lighthearted romantic core, 'Teacher G's Acting Class' is a sweet, experimental gem that celebrates the messy, beautiful process of self-discovery—both on stage and in matters of the heart. A must-watch for fans of quirky, low-key BL with a dash of European charm.

I'm a sucker for sweet, simple BL and this gave me enough cute moments to smile. Teacher G is so charismatic, and his quiet chemistry with that shy student really melted my heart. It's super short though—wish they'd developed the romance more! Still, a fun little snack.

Honestly, this felt like a half-baked student project. The 'acting class' premise had potential but the plot goes nowhere—just random exercises and then a rushed, unconvincing romance. The French teacher stereotype was more cringe than charm. I get that it's experimental, but that doesn't excuse the lack of coherent storytelling.

For a low-budget short, the visual direction is surprisingly playful—lots of bright colors, quirky framing, and a few creative montages during the acting exercises. But the uneven lighting and shaky handheld shots in some scenes distract. It has an indie charm, but not enough polish to elevate the weak script.

I wanted to enjoy this but the teacher-student power dynamic made me uncomfortable. While it's played for lighthearted romance, there's no real discussion of boundaries or consent in that context. The film doesn't interrogate its own premise—it just expects us to swoon. Disappointing from a social perspective.

The music is okay—a peppy piano theme during the comedic bits and a soft guitar piece for the romantic moments. Nothing memorable, but it fits the tone. I wish they'd invested in a proper original song; the audio mix felt a bit flat. Still, the sound design doesn't ruin the experience, just doesn't elevate it.
