"Teach Me How" is a tender Filipino miniseries that dives into the quiet ache of unspoken desire. Russel has been secretly in love with his friend Jake for as long as he can remember, weaving elaborate fantasies where Jake finally notices him. When a twist of fate throws them together—through work, shared space, or an unexpected project—Russel must decide whether to hide his feelings forever or risk everything for a chance at something real. The series explores the anxiety of first love, the courage it takes to be vulnerable, and the sweet, awkward moments that define a young romance. What sets this show apart is its gentle pacing and focus on emotional intimacy rather than dramatic conflict, making it a heartfelt watch for anyone who has ever crushed hard from afar. With a compact 7-episode run, it delivers a cozy, slice-of-life BL experience rooted in Filipino warmth and sincerity.

I absolutely adored this! It's so soft and sweet—I felt every flutter of Russel's heart. The awkwardness felt real, and the ending gave me all the feels. Not every BL needs drama; sometimes a simple love story is enough.

The acting is stiff, the plot barely has any conflict, and the production looks like a student project. I appreciate the effort, but compared to other Filipino BLs, this one falls flat. It's just too slow without any payoff.

The series tries to be wholesome, but the power dynamic between Russel's obsessive fantasies and Jake's unawareness made me a little uncomfortable. There’s no boundary discussion, and the 'persistent crush wins' trope lacks consent awareness. Could have been better handled.

Visually, it's very basic—flat lighting, limited camera angles, and cheap set design. The chemistry between the leads carries it, but I wish the director had paid more attention to framing and color. It could have been dreamier.

The background music is repetitive and a bit generic, with only one or two tracks that actually match the mood. The OST didn't elevate the scenes the way a good BL soundtrack should. Disappointing for a music lover like me.
