In the bustling heart of Seoul, a unique agency promises to fulfill any request—even providing a fake lover. Enter Yu Ha, a kind-hearted young man juggling multiple jobs to escape his overprotective adoptive brother, and Min Wu, a successful but lonely businessman seeking a temporary boyfriend to navigate social pressures. What begins as a transactional arrangement quickly blurs the lines between performance and genuine emotion. This movie edition condenses the original series into a tight 96-minute focus on Yu Ha and Min Wu's emotional journey, cutting away subplots to heighten the raw intimacy of their fake-to-real romance. As they navigate jealousy, family secrets, and the risk of genuine heartbreak, their hesitant smiles and stolen glances build to a tender, heartfelt conclusion. A must-watch for fans of slow-burn romance and the 'boyfriend experience' trope, Sweetheart Service: The Movie delivers a satisfying, concise love story that will leave you rooting for its charming leads.

I absolutely melted watching Yu Ha and Min Wu stumble into love. Their awkward sweetness felt so real, and the movie gave them exactly the right amount of screen time without any annoying distractions. The key chain moments made me tear up! Pure hearts, pure romance.

The premise had potential, but the movie is full of gaping plot holes. Why does the boss suddenly talk the brother into disappearing? And the random bus stop reunion felt unearned. The leads are cute, but the story logic is a mess. I can't recommend it to anyone who values coherent storytelling.

Visually, this movie is a treat. The soft lighting in the bar scenes and the warm color palette during the couple's dates create an intimate, dreamy atmosphere. The camera lingers on their faces just long enough to capture every micro-expression. A few editing jumps felt rushed, but overall a lovely aesthetic experience.

I appreciate that the movie addresses coercion and power imbalances in the fake relationship setup, but it doesn't fully unpack them. The brother's possessive behavior and the boss's manipulation are treated as plot devices rather than serious issues. Still, the leads' eventual genuine consent is handled with care. A mixed bag for socially conscious viewers.

The background music perfectly underscores every emotional beat—gentle piano during their quiet moments, a swelling strings cue for the big reconciliation. I wish there was an official OST release because the instrumental tracks are gorgeous and really elevate the viewing experience.
