Sun is a quiet, introverted teacher who values peace and simple affection, while Nuea is a loud, extroverted celebrity who craves grand romantic gestures. After a series of silent misunderstandings builds a painful rift between them, they wake up one morning in each other's bodies. This supernatural twist forces both men to literally walk in each other's shoes, confronting the daily struggles and perspectives they had overlooked. As they navigate Nuea's chaotic fame and Sun's demanding classroom, the body-swap becomes a profound tool for empathy and growth. But the real challenge lies in finding their way back—both to their original bodies and to the loving connection they thought they had lost. With heartfelt performances from Max and Nat and a bold exploration of communication, identity, and intimacy, 'Suntiny' is a quirky, mature spin on the classic Freaky Friday trope that proves love sometimes requires a literal change of perspective.

I came for MaxNat and stayed for the surprising emotional depth. The body swap was hilarious at first, but the way they used it to show how Sun and Nuea really listen (or don't) hit me hard. Plus, seeing Max in those colorful outfits and gel nails was iconic—finally a BL that embraces gender fluidity! The NC scenes were beautifully shot, and I loved every second of their intimacy. Not perfect—the side couple felt underdeveloped—but I'm still rewatching my favorite episodes.

I wanted to love this because Max and Nat are great, but the script felt like it was on a loop. Every episode the same misunderstandings, same video diary confessions, same body-swaps. They could have cut it to 6 episodes and told the same story. The whole erectile dysfunction subplot gets resolved off-screen? That's just lazy writing. The side couple's 'first kiss' was a cringe-fest of almost-lips. Madam Earth was the only highlight. My advice: skip to episodes 1-2 and then fast-forward through the rest.

As someone who studies media representation, I was fascinated by how Suntiny handled consent and body autonomy. The body swap forces both characters to confront what it means to inhabit someone else's physical experiences without permission—an interesting parallel to real-world empathy gaps. I also applaud the show for explicitly showing a smaller character (Nuea) continuing to top after the swap, challenging typical BL dynamics. However, some of the humor felt tone-deaf, like laughing at Sun's erectile dysfunction. Overall, a flawed but important step for the genre.

I only kept watching for Temp and Toy—they were adorable! Toy's shy, clingy personality melted my heart, and I wished the show had given them more screen time and a proper kiss. Their chemistry was so much more natural than the main couple's repetitive angst. That said, the main plot dragged. I get that Sun and Nuea needed to learn about each other, but after the fifth body-swap I was just bored. If you're a side-couple enthusiast, prepare to be disappointed by how little you get.

Visually, this series is a feast. The bold colors—Nuea's red hair, Sun's soft pastels—and the playful styling of Max's character in 'feminine' clothes made for some stunning frames. The lighting in the NC scenes was particularly dreamy, almost like a music video. But the cinematography couldn't save the repetitive editing; too many flashbacks and same-angle confessional shots. Earth as Madam stole every scene with her impeccable wardrobe and acting. A mixed bag, but I'd still recommend it for the aesthetic alone.
