What happens when a hopeless romantic and a cynical heartbreaker get stuck under the same roof during a pandemic lockdown? *Stuck On You* answers that question with unexpected tenderness. Reb (Iyo Canlas) dreams of a fairy-tale first kiss, while JM (Yves Flores) buries his pain behind a wall of cold detachment. A one-night stand gone sideways forces them to quarantine together in JM’s home for two weeks, turning every shared meal and awkward silence into a battleground of beliefs about love. What begins as a clash of personalities slowly unravels into something far more intimate: honest conversations, raw vulnerabilities, and the reluctant admission that maybe—just maybe—opposites can find common ground. Set entirely within a single residence, this intimate Filipino series uses the claustrophobia of isolation to explore whether two people with fundamentally different views on romance can build something real. With outstanding performances and a soundtrack that lingers, *Stuck On You* is a quiet, grounded gem that reminds us love isn’t always fireworks—sometimes it’s just two people learning to stay.

I went in expecting just another quarantine BL, but Reb and JM completely stole my heart. The way they slowly lower their walls—especially JM going from ice-cold to those vulnerable crying scenes—had me ugly sobbing. Their chemistry isn't flashy, but it's so genuine that I believed every single moment. If you love slow-burn with real emotional payoff, this is it.

I appreciate the attempt at realism, but JM's behavior in the first episodes is borderline abusive—withholding wifi, refusing basic toilet access—and it's never fully addressed as a red flag. The script also has some logical gaps, like why Reb would agree to a hookup if he'd never even been kissed. The acting saves it, but the writing needed another draft.

The OST is the unsung hero of this series. 'Nagmamahal Din Lang' and the other original songs are woven so beautifully into the emotional beats—especially that heartbreaking scene in episode 7. I've had the playlist on repeat for weeks. The music alone makes this worth watching, even if the pacing drags a little in the middle.

This show tries to handle power dynamics, but it fumbles. JM exerts control over Reb in ways that are coercive (locking him in, refusing communication) and later frames it as 'growth.' I wish the narrative had called out the toxicity more explicitly. That said, the final conversation about love being different for everyone is refreshingly mature. Worth a watch for the discussion it sparks.

For a low-budget lockdown series, the cinematography is surprisingly effective. The camera lingers on faces—especially Yves Flores' micro-expressions—and the warm, muted color palette mirrors the confined intimacy. The use of window light and shadows during their arguments adds visual depth. It's not flashy, but every frame serves the story.
