Yu Sang, a reserved school newspaper journalist, approaches the charismatic dancer Jun Han for an interview. Jun agrees on one condition: Yu Sang must learn to dance with him as payment. What begins as a simple bargain quickly evolves into something deeper as the two spend long hours practicing together in an empty studio. The more they move in sync, the more their unspoken feelings begin to surface. Packed into just 20 minutes, this short film from acclaimed Korean BL studio Strongberry captures the tender, awkward, and exhilarating process of falling for someone through shared rhythm and stolen glances. Directed with warmth and authenticity, Step for You is a perfectly paced mini romance that proves you don't need hours of runtime to tell a story that lingers in your heart.

I've watched this three times in one week. The chemistry between the leads is off the charts—every shy smile and accidental hand touch makes my heart flutter. It's the sweetest 20-minute love story I've ever seen, and the ending had me grinning like an idiot. Strongberry never disappoints!

The warm lighting in the dance studio and the intimate camera angles during their practice scenes really sold the growing connection. I loved how the cinematography mirrored the awkwardness and then the synchrony between the two characters. Minor quibble: a few shots felt slightly cramped, but overall a visually pleasing short film.

For a 20-minute film, this is remarkably efficient and charming. However, the final conflict felt a bit manufactured—the reporter could have easily clarified things with a single sentence. Still, the acting was natural, and the story arc was satisfying. If you can forgive a tiny bit of forced drama, it's a delightful watch.

I really appreciated how naturally the film included a bisexual lead character without making it a big deal. It was just part of who he was. The relationship developed through mutual interest and consent—no coercion, just two people slowly falling for each other. A lovely example of healthy young queer romance.
