In the neon-lit streets of Hong Kong, street photographer Leo captures the city's fleeting moments—until one face keeps appearing in his lens: Sam, a quiet bookstore owner with a hidden past. Their accidental encounters slowly weave into a delicate friendship, but both men carry wounds that make them hesitate. As Leo learns that Sam's stillness isn't indifference but a shield, they discover that love sometimes means holding still long enough for someone to truly see you. This 10-episode miniseries is a tender, slow-burn romance that explores vulnerability, healing, and the courage it takes to let someone into your quiet world. With stunning Hong Kong backdrops and a story that lingers like the last frame of a photograph, 'Stay Still' is a heartfelt addition to the Southeast Asian BL landscape.

I'm absolutely melting. Leo and Sam's connection is so soft and real—every time they almost touched I held my breath. The scene in the rain with the umbrella? Perfect. This is the tender, hopeful BL I've been craving.

Beautiful to look at, but the story moves at a glacial pace. A few subplots (the ex-girlfriend, the family drama) feel half-baked. The ending resolves too neatly for the emotional buildup. I wanted more depth, not just pretty frames.

Every shot is a photograph. The use of natural light through bookstore windows, the reflections in puddles after rain—whoever shot this understood visual poetry. The color grading shifts from warm gold to cool blue as their relationship deepens. A feast for the eyes.

I appreciate how the show handles consent and boundaries. Sam's trauma is treated with sensitivity—he's never pressured to open up, and Leo waits for him. It's refreshing to see a romance where 'no' is respected without drama. However, the heteronormative side characters could have been more fleshed out.

The piano score is hauntingly beautiful—I've been replaying the main theme for weeks. The way the music swells just as they share their first real hug? Chills. The Cantonese indie songs used in the montages perfectly capture the bittersweet tone. Soundtrack of the year for me.
