When Filipino filmmaker Andre Lee's indie film wins a prestigious award at a Los Angeles festival, his triumph is shattered after a cunning scammer steals his prize money. Determined to track down the thief, Andre's investigation leads him to Joshua Santos, a guarded part-time worker who may hold the key to the con. What begins as a tense, uneasy alliance slowly transforms into an unexpected connection—messy, raw, and achingly real. 'Stay' is a Filipino miniseries that dares to defy traditional BL tropes, offering an unflinching look at two flawed men navigating cultural clashes, hidden vulnerabilities, and the courage to be imperfect. With a haunting soundtrack and performances that linger, this is love stripped of fairy-tale gloss, told with honesty and heart.

I appreciated the realistic vibe and some genuinely funny moments, but the writing let me down—Andre was particularly unlikable in episode 6, and the constant flashbacks and loud, repetitive background music were distracting. It has potential but doesn't fully deliver on its promise.

I absolutely loved this series! Despite the lack of physical intimacy, the emotional connection between Andre and Joshua felt incredibly real and compelling. The ending was refreshingly realistic and gave me genuine hope—I haven't anticipated a show this much in ages.

This isn't your typical BL—it's a raw, honest exploration of a toxic love story, and I found it brilliant. The characters are baneful and flawed, but that's exactly what makes it so authentic. It tackles consent, power imbalances, and emotional abuse without sugarcoating, demanding mature viewers.

The music in 'Stay' is phenomenal—the OST theme song is hauntingly memorable and perfectly sets the emotional tone for each scene. However, it does get a bit loud and repetitive over time. Even so, the soundtrack alone made the journey worthwhile for me.

I admired the series' attempt at a realistic aesthetic, but the cinematography was inconsistent. Some shots were beautifully composed with muted color grading, while others felt rushed and clunky with too much overlapping footage. A mixed bag visually, but the story still shines through.
