In the gritty underbelly of a bustling Chinese metropolis, two men from opposite sides of the law find their worlds colliding in the most unexpected way. Bai Yan, a charismatic gangster with a hidden heart, and Qing Yun, a dedicated detective with a sharp mind, are brought together by fate when a routine investigation turns personal. What begins as a tense cat-and-mouse game soon deepens into a magnetic, forbidden connection that challenges everything they stand for. With only two episodes, this short but intense web series packs an emotional punch, balancing crime-thriller tension with tender romantic moments. Despite its abbreviated runtime, the chemistry between the leads and the compelling premise of star-crossed lovers from rival worlds make it a memorable, if bittersweet, viewing experience—a hidden gem for fans of fast-paced, passion-driven BL dramas.

I fell in love with Bai Yan and Qing Yun instantly. Their chemistry is off the charts even with barely two episodes. The way they look at each other says everything. Such a shame it's so short—I'd watch a full season of them!

The premise is promising but the execution is a mess. Two episodes crammed with rushed introductions, no development for the side characters, and a cliffhanger that isn't satisfying. You can tell censorship chopped it down. Still, the main actors did what they could.

Visually, this is a treat. The neon-lit streets, the shadowy interrogations, the way the camera lingers on the leads' faces during tense moments—it's beautifully shot. I only wish the story had the same care as the cinematography.

I wanted to like this, but the power imbalance between a detective and a gangster raises red flags that are never addressed. Also, the show romanticizes crime without any critical lens. For a short show, it could have done better with consent and ethical dynamics.

The background music is decent but forgettable—no standout OST to elevate the emotional beats. For a drama that relies so much on mood, a stronger soundtrack would have made the cliffhanger hit harder. Still, the soft piano during romantic scenes was nice.
