A single, unforgettable night becomes a labyrinth of desire and doubt in this enigmatic South Korean short film. When the protagonist's best friend sends her boyfriend over late at night, a quiet tension fills the apartment. The visitor is handsome and enigmatic, and the protagonist finds his gaze lingering, wondering if the attraction is mutual or merely a product of his own longing. As the night unfolds through dreamlike sequences and fragmented encounters—a flirtatious coffee-making moment, a mysterious gay club ticket, and a play rehearsal—the line between reality and fantasy blurs. 'Some' explores the intoxicating confusion of unexplored chemistry and the fear of crossing a line, all wrapped in a minimalist, atmospheric narrative. With only a handful of lines and a haunting soundtrack, this 10-minute film relies on powerful glances, suggestive silences, and raw vulnerability to tell a story of queerness awakening in the most unexpected moment. It's a bold, ambiguous gem that rewards repeat viewings and invites viewers to piece together their own truth.

I get that it's a short film, but there's a difference between 'open to interpretation' and 'just plain confusing.' I had no clue what was real and what was fantasy, and not in a fun way. The actors are good-looking, but that doesn't salvage the vague storytelling. I needed more concrete cues to care about the relationship.

Honestly, I just love the tension between these two. The way they look at each other – it's electric. Even if I'm not 100% sure what's happening plot-wise, the chemistry is undeniable. That kitchen scene? Melting. I wish it were longer so we could see them actually get together.

Visually, this film is stunning. The use of shadows and the intimate close-ups create such a strong sense of desire and unease. And that soundtrack! It's weird and sexy and perfectly encapsulates the confusion of the protagonist. This is exactly the kind of short that makes you feel more than you understand, and I love it for that.

The film does a decent job of portraying unspoken queer desire, but the prolonged nudity feels more voyeuristic than necessary. The power dynamics are unclear—is the best friend's boyfriend aware of his effect? There's a fine line between ambiguous tension and objectification. Worth watching for its daring, but not without reservations.
