I absolutely adore this film! Ron is such a sweetheart and the chemistry with Annie (even though it's not romantic) is so endearing. The comedy had me laughing out loud, and the warm ending left me smiling for days. A must-watch for anyone who loves feel-good stories about found family.

While I appreciate the historic LGBTQ+ representation, the central plot device of a drunken non-consensual encounter is pretty problematic and unrealistic. The comedy saves it somewhat, but the logic is shaky. Performances are good but the story needed more grounded development.

I struggled with this film's casual portrayal of what amounts to sexual assault. Even though it's framed as comedy, the lack of consent is disturbing. For a movie with a gay lead, the message about boundaries is muddled. I understand it was a different era, but I can't recommend it without major caveats.

The cinematography captures 90s Manila beautifully with its grainy film stock and vibrant colors. The director's use of warm tones and natural lighting gives the comedy a cozy, nostalgic feel. A visual treat for fans of classic Filipino cinema.

The soundtrack is pure 90s gold! The catchy pop tunes and sappy ballads perfectly complement the film's upbeat yet heartfelt tone. I've been humming the main theme for weeks. Music elevates the comedic timing beautifully.
