So Much in Love is a uniquely ambitious Thai BL that blends ghostly romance, sports rivalry, and a sprawling ensemble of LGBTQ+ couples into one messy but heartfelt series. At its core, the story follows Ongsah, a quiet new transfer student on the swim team, who discovers he can see the ghost of North—a popular volleyball player who apparently drowned in the school pool. As the two form a nightly bond, Ongsah unravels the mystery behind North's accident, while falling for a boy who might not even be alive. But this is just one thread in a tangled web: a homophobic principal (North’s mother) tries to shut down the volleyball team for its queer members, side couples navigate friends-to-lovers and enemies-to-lovers arcs, and a second ghost story involving a murdered sister lurks in the background. The series is messy, overstuffed, and plagued by poor subtitles, but its bold representation—including femme gay characters, trans individuals, and a lesbian couple—and genuinely sweet main romance make it a cult curiosity. If you can weather the chaos, you'll find a surprising amount of heart.

I absolutely adored Ongsah and North! Their ghostly love story was so tender and unique - the way they connected through the pool at night gave me all the feels. Yes, the side plots are a mess and the subtitles made me want to pull my hair out, but for that main couple alone, this is worth the headache. The finale had me in tears.

This series is a textbook example of why you shouldn't cram seven couples into 13 episodes. I had no idea what was happening half the time. The main ghost plot had potential, but it got buried under pointless filler like the drug addict storyline and the lesbian couple who barely got a kiss. The acting is amateurish, and whoever edited this needs to go back to school. Avoid unless you're a completionist.

I'm giving this a higher score because I appreciated how the show handled queer representation. Femme characters weren't jokes, trans coaches were treated with dignity, and the homophobia plot (though heavy-handed) showed real consequences. The main couple's slow-burn romance was lovely, and I liked that there was no gay panic. But the production quality is terrible - bad audio, weird framing, and those subs... ugh. With a bigger budget, this could have been a cult classic.

I'm here for the side couples, especially Jedi & Indy and their enemies-to-lovers arc. Their mystery with the sister's ghost was actually intriguing, but the resolution felt rushed. And can we talk about Wan & Mai? Their scenes were the hottest in the whole show, but their relationship felt really toxic - Mai was way too aggressive. Still, I enjoyed the steaminess. If you can tolerate the mess, there's entertainment value.
