I'm a sucker for tragic love stories, and this one broke my heart in the best way. The chemistry between Tum and Kaeng is so raw and real—you really feel their desperation to hold onto each other. Yes, the pacing lags sometimes, but the emotional payoff is worth it. Kaeng's smile kills me.

I appreciate the attempt at a serious HIV storyline, but the execution falls flat. The first half feels like a random montage of club scenes with no real direction. The chapter divisions are jarring and break any flow. Kaeng's illness is introduced late and handled melodramatically. A stronger script could have made this a classic.

The music started off interesting but the same carousel melody looped at least thirty times. By the third act, especially during Kaeng's dying scene, the whimsical tune felt horribly mismatched and ruined the emotional impact. Great potential, but the soundtrack needed variety and better sync with the story.

Visually, this film captures the gritty, neon-drenched energy of Bangkok's nightlife beautifully. The contrast between club lights and quiet morning scenes is stunning. However, the handheld camera work in intimate moments feels shaky and uneven. It's a mixed bag—some shots are pure art, others just messy.

For 2006, this was a brave film. It doesn't shy away from showing the isolation and stigma of living with HIV in a conservative society. The consent dynamics between Tum and Kaeng are handled with surprising care—there's a tenderness that respects boundaries. It's flawed, but its social impact shouldn't be overlooked.
