I am completely destroyed by this drama. The chemistry between Duan Zi Ang and Xiao Shu He is off the charts. Every glance, every touch, the way he rebuilt the sixth prince's manor just to have Shu He back? My heart can't take it. The ending broke me but I wouldn't change a thing. This is historical BL done right.

The premise had so much potential but the execution was messy. Pacing was rushed, character motivations made no sense half the time, and the political intrigue was laughably shallow. I wanted to love it but the inconsistent writing kept pulling me out. The leads' acting improved but it wasn't enough to salvage the plot holes.

Visually, this drama is a feast. The snow scenes, the flying sequence, the costumes—absolutely stunning. The director knows how to frame longing and heartbreak. Even if the plot had issues, I could watch the leads exchange silent looks forever. The cinematography elevates the entire experience.

As someone who read the source novel 'The Eternal Silence of Mountain and Rivers', I was excited but also nervous. The drama captures the essence but cuts so much depth. The side characters suffer the most—especially Huo Ying's story. I wish they had more episodes to flesh out the politics. Still, seeing an uncensored adaptation is a miracle.

I'm here for the Crown Prince and Huo Ying. That toxic, heartbreaking dynamic had me hooked. Yes, it's abusive and problematic, but the actors sold it so well. I was devastated when it ended abruptly. I needed more of their tragic love. The main couple was great too, but that side story stole my heart.
