Bright and early one Monday morning, two popular boys cross paths at the school gate: Shino Yuzuru, known for his stunning looks but blunt personality that keeps driving potential partners away, and Seiryo Toji, the charming 'one-week man' who dates anyone who asks for exactly seven days before letting them down gently. Intrigued by the rumor, Shino impulsively asks Seiryo out—and to his surprise, Seiryo agrees. What begins as a curious experiment in temporary dating slowly transforms into something neither expected: a tender, hesitant exploration of real feelings. As the days unfold from Monday to Thursday, both boys grapple with vulnerability, past heartbreaks, and the terrifying possibility that this time, the week might not be enough. Adapted from the beloved manga, this Japanese film is a quiet, atmospheric romance that masterfully captures the thrill and anxiety of first love. With lingering glances, unspoken words, and a hauntingly beautiful score, *Seven Days: Monday - Thursday* is a delicate slow-burn that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This movie made my heart flutter in the quietest way possible. The chemistry between Shino and Seiryo is so understated yet electric—I loved every hesitant touch and lingering look. No annoying misunderstandings, just two people slowly falling into love. A perfect comfort watch!

I appreciate the unique premise, but the execution felt too slow for me. The actors' expressions didn't vary much, and the pacing dragged in several scenes. The 'one-week' gimmick is interesting, but the lack of real conflict made it feel more like a mood piece than a compelling drama.

The cinematography is stunning—soft lighting, beautiful framing of cityscapes, and that recurring archery motif with the bowstrings pulling taut. Every shot feels intentional. The music is subtle but perfectly underscores the tension. A masterclass in visual storytelling for a romance film.

As a huge fan of the manga, I was nervous, but this adaptation is surprisingly faithful. The dialogue and key scenes are lifted straight from the source. My only quibble is that Yamada doesn't quite capture Shino's expressiveness from the manga, but Hirose embodies Seiryo's quiet warmth perfectly.

What I loved most is how consensual and respectful their relationship feels. Neither character pressures the other, and their exploration of attraction is handled with care. It's refreshing to see a BL that focuses on emotional honesty without toxic tropes. A small but meaningful step for queer representation.
