I'm absolutely melting. The chemistry between Nie Xiao Zhi and Chen Li is everything – every stolen glance, every accidental touch felt so real. The lychee orchard scene under the stars? I was literally holding my breath. If you love slow-burn romance that makes your heart ache in the best way, this movie is for you.

Visually, this is a feast. The golden-hour lighting through the lychee trees, the turquoise water, the soft-focus close-ups – every frame could be a painting. The director clearly poured love into capturing the island's beauty. It elevated the romance into something almost dreamlike.

I appreciated that the movie takes time to show the characters negotiating boundaries and consent, especially with the older brother dynamic. It's not perfect – some of the power imbalance could have been explored more – but for a Singaporean BL, it's a thoughtful step in representing queer relationships with care and respect.

The romance is sweet, but the pacing drags in the middle act, and the conflict with the brother feels underdeveloped. I wanted more tension and a clearer resolution. That said, the lead performances carry it, and the ending is satisfying enough. Solid but not groundbreaking.

The soundtrack is gorgeous – a mix of mellow acoustic guitar and soft piano that perfectly mirrors the island's calm and the characters' emotions. The song playing during the confession scene gave me chills. I've already added it to my playlist. Music lovers, don't sleep on this one!
