Jin Gyu has been nursing a secret crush on his cool, composed schoolmate for what feels like forever. Just when he’s resigned himself to silent longing, fate—or magic—drops a peculiar pair of glasses into his lap. These aren’t ordinary spectacles; with a single wear, Jin Gyu can suddenly see beyond the surface, glimpsing the hidden truths people keep locked away. Fueled by desperate hope and a healthy dose of awkwardness, he sets out to use this supernatural power to finally uncover his crush’s feelings. What follows is a charming, cringe-filled, and surprisingly tender 15-minute ride that blends magical realism with the all-too-relatable mess of unrequited love. Will the glasses bring Jin Gyu the answer he craves, or will the truth be more than he bargained for? This short film from acclaimed Korean studio Strongberry packs an emotional punch and a playful dose of comedy, proving that sometimes the most magical thing is simply being brave enough to see—and be seen.

The cinematography in this short is honestly stunning for a 15-minute indie film. Strongberry knows how to frame a scene – the warm lighting and close-ups really sell that nervous tension of a crush. The way they visually represent the glasses' magic effect is clever and subtle. Not the most polished acting, but the visual storytelling more than makes up for it.

I'm a sucker for any BL with a magical twist, and this one delivered the cute awkwardness I crave. Yes, the kiss scene was a bit stiff, but the hopeful ending made my heart flutter. It’s a quick, feel-good watch that leaves you smiling. Perfect for a lunch break serotonin boost!

The premise is genuinely intriguing – glasses that reveal secrets – but the execution feels rushed. The magic system is barely explored, and the conclusion is too tidy for such a big idea. I wanted more consequence and emotional depth. That said, the cringe-humor landed for me, and Choi Woo Jae gave a solid performance. Worth a watch, but don’t expect a masterpiece.

I actually Shazam’d the ending song – it’s that catchy! The background score does a lot of heavy lifting to build that wistful, magical atmosphere. The music paired with the final scene gave me chills. I wish the sound design had been a bit more layered throughout, but for a short film, it’s impressively curated.
