I wanted to love this, but the story felt all over the place. Aoyama's disappearance could have been a great mystery, but instead it's bogged down by random yakuza subplots that go nowhere. The emotional beats land if you're deeply invested in the characters, but as a standalone narrative it's messy.

I'm a total sucker for angsty love, and this delivered. Haruto's desperate search for Aoyama broke my heart, and the few moments they share are electric. Yes, it's dark and explicit, but that's exactly what I signed up for.

Visually, it's a treat for fans of the pink film aesthetic—neon lights, rain-soaked streets, and intimate close-ups. The lighting choices perfectly mirror the emotional turmoil. It's not polished like a big-budget production, but the raw, indie vibe adds to the grit.

I struggle with how freely the film throws around blackmail and coercion in the name of passion. There's very little self-awareness about the toxic dynamics, and the explicit scenes often feel exploitative rather than romantic. I appreciate the attempt at a dark story, but it crossed a line for me.

The soundtrack has a few haunting piano pieces that fit the melancholy mood, but most of the time the sound design is just ambient noise. I was hoping for a standout theme song to carry the emotional weight, but it fell flat.
