I wanted to support indie BL, but Safe Haven tests my patience. The script drags through 15 episodes of repetitive Twitter arguments and shallow character arcs that never explore the class divide with any depth. The acting is stiff and the dialogue feels like no one edits it. A noble attempt, but the execution is a mess.

Okay, it's cheesy and the camera shakes like crazy, but I still smiled at Dave and Terrence's cute bickering. The chemistry isn't strong, but there's a sweetness in how they go from hate to hugs. If you're desperate for a quick enemies-to-lovers fix and don't mind rough edges, it's watchable.

The song 'Sunset With You' plays on loop and it's honestly grating. The audio quality is so inconsistent—sometimes I can barely hear the dialogue over background noise. A great OST can save a low-budget show, but here it just adds to the frustration. Pass.

I appreciate that Safe Haven tries to address workplace discrimination and class differences, but it's all surface-level. The characters never really grow beyond stereotypes, and the resolution feels unearned. For a show claiming social relevance, it needed way more nuance and less filler.

The production looks like it was filmed on a mid-range smartphone from 2015—shaky, blurry, and full of awkward jump cuts. The split-screen Twitter graphics have typos and the lighting is awful. I can forgive a lot, but this is genuinely hard to watch visually.
