When life gets too heavy, sometimes all you need is a change of scenery—and a best friend by your side. After a stressful resignation, Joshua (Lava Haganos) calls his longtime best friend Gerald (David Cabawatan) for an impulsive road trip to the countryside. What begins as a simple escape soon becomes a journey of rediscovery, as they trade city noise for open roads, quiet beaches, and the healing power of music. Amidst open-mic nights under starlit balconies and candid conversations that stretch into dawn, the two friends start to sense something shifting—a tenderness that goes beyond friendship. Filmed with a raw, melancholic beauty, this Filipino BL weaves together heartfelt performances and a soulful soundtrack to explore the delicate line between platonic love and something deeper. With only seven episodes, the series is a quiet, emotional experience that invites you to surrender to its gentle rhythm.

I’m a sucker for slow-burn friends-to-lovers, and this delivered exactly what I needed. Lava and David have such natural chemistry—I could feel the tension building in every quiet scene. The balcony open-mic moment where Gerald sings 'I Found Him' literally gave me chills. Yes, the ending frustrated me, but the journey was so worth it. The OST is on my daily playlist now.

I really wanted to love this, but the writing let it down. The acting is genuinely good and the cinematography captures a nice road-trip vibe, but the plot meanders with no clear direction until suddenly hitting a romantic climax in episode 6. The final episode is almost entirely about a girlfriend who appears out of nowhere, and the open ending feels lazy. It’s a 5/10 story wrapped in a 7/10 production.

Honestly, I watched this mostly for the music, and it didn’t disappoint. The theme song is hauntingly beautiful and fits the melancholy perfectly. The live performances—especially on the balcony and at the open mic—are raw and emotional. But I agree with others that the background score is overused and sometimes too loud, drowning out dialogue. Still, I’ll keep the OST on repeat. Worth a watch if you’re a music lover.

The visual storytelling here is underrated. The director makes great use of natural light—sunset drives, lantern-lit paths, reflections on the water. It gives the whole series a dreamy, nostalgic feel that compensates for the thin plot. I loved how they framed the two leads in wide shots against rural landscapes, emphasizing their isolation and growing closeness. Not perfect, but visually a treat for indie BL fans.

I appreciate that this series tries to tackle bisexuality and friend dynamics without immediate labels, but the execution feels dated. Both leads spend most of the runtime talking about their girlfriends, and the romantic shift is rushed. The consent and communication in the intimate scene were handled okay, but the sudden return of an ex-girlfriend in the last episode undermines the emotional growth. It’s a step forward for Filipino BL in terms of tone, but still has room to grow in writing.
