Set against the vibrant backdrop of a local basketball court, *Rewrite the Stars* is a heartfelt Filipino BL series that explores love, friendship, and second chances. The story follows a group of young men whose lives intersect through their shared passion for the game. When an unexpected encounter reignites old feelings and sparks new connections, the basketball court becomes more than just a place for sport—it transforms into a stage for vulnerability, self-discovery, and romantic confession. With a focus on multiple couples navigating their own unique relationships, the series captures the sweet, awkward, and tender moments of young love. Shot vertically for a modern, intimate viewing experience, *Rewrite the Stars* brings a fresh, accessible energy to the genre. It’s a short but emotionally rich journey that proves sometimes the most meaningful love stories start with a single pass on the court.

I absolutely melted watching this! The chemistry between the main couple is so natural and cute, especially when they’re on the court—those longing glances during time-outs? Perfect. If you want a feel-good, no-angst romance, this is it. I’ve rewatched it three times already.

I appreciate the attempt, but the pacing felt off—episodes are too short to develop characters properly. The basketball scenes are fun, but the romance subplots feel rushed and sometimes confusing. The vertical filming also made it hard to take seriously. Good for a one-time watch, but not memorable.

Honestly, I stayed for the second couple. Their storyline had more depth and tension than the mains. The quiet moments they shared really pulled at my heartstrings. I wish the series had given them more screen time. Still, it made the whole thing worth watching.

The vertical format is a creative choice, but it really limits the visual storytelling—lots of awkward close-ups and limited dynamic shots. The natural lighting on the court was nice, but the production value overall feels very low-budget. Great for a quick mobile watch, but don’t expect cinematic quality.

While the intentions are sweet, some early interactions between the leads (especially the 'pursuing despite rejection' trope) felt a bit uncomfortable from a consent perspective. It’s mild, but I wish they had modeled healthier communication. Still, it’s a step forward for Filipino BL and the cast gives their all.
